I currently teach Regents physics, introduction to computer science, and coach two FTC robotics teams at MHSHS, an early college high school where seniors are enrolled in freshman courses at CUNY Hunter College. Regents physics is a course largely based on Modeling Instruction curriculum and pedagogy. Students engage by asking questions, designing experiments and analyzing data to formulate conclusions and derive relationships about the natural physical world. The computer science course is adapted from the Flatiron School's PreCollege Academy curriculum and CUNY Hunter's CSCI 133 course. Students learn about version control (GitHub), front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JS) and back-end languages (Ruby, Python) to build robust web applications with the Sinatra framework.
