My students need the ability to work hands on learning genetics, tracing traits back to DNA, by using plants! Students will grow, nurture & cross different kinds of plants (pollinating using real bees!) to observe the amazing world of genetics & mathematics. These kits include different kinds of plants which have different physical characteristics, which can be observed. From that students can choose the traits they want to see in the next generation. Using mathematics/probability the plant offspring should look a certain way. It will be very exciting for the students to guess the outcomes & tend to their plants through this project!

About my class
