My students love having the freedom to take ownership of the classroom and move about it. When given the opportunity, my students will shift their desks about the classroom, so they can work in different configurations and with different peers. Many of my students are constantly moving about in their chairs. By incorporating more diverse seating options into my classroom, I will be able to provide my students with seating options that better meet their needs. For example, my students who are constantly in motion will be able to move about without fear of tipping their chair over and hurting themselves thanks to the wobble stools. Having diverse seating options in my classroom will help to make my classroom more comfortable for my students. I teach middle school students, and they are in the process of going through puberty. As a result, I have students who are too tall for the school provided desks. Having a bar height table that they can work at will make learning a more pleasurable experience for my students. By incorporating a variety of seating options into my classroom I will be able to make the space a more pleasant environment for students to learn in.
