Students will use items such as rekenreks and magnetic array boards to visualize abstract math concepts and reinforce numeracy and operation skills. Collaborative task cards and leveled word problems will allow them to practice skills in an engaging and differentiated way. Specialized tools, such as a primary kids' ruler, will help them to see how measurement is done accurately. Our students all deserve to experience math success! These tools and games will allow them to approach math in ways that are easier for them to understand. Concrete representations that allow students to see and apply the skills they are learning will give them confidence in math.
