These books will make a difference in my students learning by fostering that love of reading we want them to have. These books will be used in a variety of ways and have been choosen with a purpose. Some of these books have very strong powerful characters that face and overcome challenges, just as my students face challenges on a daily basis. Others are centered around poetry, as students of such diverse backgrounds often struggle with understanding figurative language. Yet others are purely for the humor and fun of reading. These books are for me to use to model and encourage their love for reading by my own enthusiams and love for the books. As well as for the students to read and reread whether independently or in book clubs. The goal is for them to foster that same sense of love that I model and share with others as their reading blooms.
