I am requesting books on diversity and inclusion. Our titles include A Girl Named Misty, Under the Ramadan Moon, Two Homes, New Shoes, Seeds of Freedom and more. and These books will be in the hands of students in the classroom. I will also facilitate conversations and discussion based off of these books with my second graders. These are all books on diversity and inclusion. I have put multiple copies in so students will be able to have their own books to keep at their desk and to read at their own pace. Their friends in their groups will also have the opportunity to have a copy to read and to engage in peer conversation about the texts that they are reading.
