This project is all of the school supplies that I buy yearly in order to make sure that my classroom is ready for another amazing school year. This is close to the amount of what I spend every summer to make sure that I have basic things like markers, hand sanitizer, comfortable and flexible seating in my room, and extra supplies to help my students out. The seating needed for my room is for my students with different needs. The wobble chairs help my students with autism and AD/HD be able to fidget in their seats without distracting other students who want to be moving around too. The bean bag chair is to replace my futon that ripped last year because too many students loved sitting on it all at once during D.E.A.R. time. I like to use the flexible seating because we are such a high literacy campus and the more comfortable the students are, the more focused they will be to read. The clipboards are for my students who love to sit on the floor as we write. As teachers, we are responsible for getting most of our things completely out of our own pockets. So, it would really help to get this amount covered this year instead of having it come directly out of pocket again.
