I am currently the technology facilitator this year, so I work with all of the students. When demonstrating or presenting a new topic of study, displaying the material on the screen using a projector gives more of a vivid media viewing. Students learn, retain and show more interest when they can visually see the subject matter. Projecting an image gives students the ability to relate especially if they are visual learners. The use of a projector can be utilized with many subject areas. Technology ties in with all subjects across the curriculum, such as creating projects, PowerPoint presentations, animations, viewing of pictures and/or clip art, writing samples and research assignments. The students at my school would benefit from this type of learning technique and strategy.
