The resource I am requesting is a subscription to "Time for Kids" for each of my struggling 7th grade readers. This resource will add a much-needed nonfiction component to their reading education. Most of my students read at least two levels below grade-level. It is often difficult to find text written at a lower level that is of high interest to middle school students. Having a weekly magazine subscription will help my students stay interested in the things they are reading. In addition, at the end of the week, students would be able to take these magazines home and share them with their families. This will help bring high interest reading into some of our low-income families' homes.
