My personalized learning scholars value their education and have taken charge of it! Math is hard and not everyone can "get it" from a teacher's instruction alone; In my room my students work at their own pace following a digital pathway I've designed for all of them that includes a diverse variety of resources from videos to games to tutorials to textbook readings and assignments. My students are hard working kids but they have very limited resources. A majority of them do not have access to the internet at home, and those that do typically don't have access to a computer. I allow my students to use their cellphones in class to reach these resources but it's simply just not enough. A class set of tablets would open a whole new world to my students and allow them to really engage in all the content on a new more in-depth level.
