A designated set of classroom tablets will provide my students tools to support the variety of learning needs. Using programs and resources available through the internet will help improve their reading, writing, and technological skills required in the 21st Century. Specific expectations require accommodations to meet the diverse learning needs. Technology resources in my classroom will be integrated into the language arts curriculum. Last year, I was granted free access to learning software which recorded and individualized guided levels for my students. Active users were successful increasing their reading comprehension scores. Also, my students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when using technology. They are permitted free time after demonstrating success meeting their learning goals.
