I am so fortunate to be in the profession I have always dreamed of. Teaching 5th grade has so many perks especially with how eager my students are to learn. It makes it worth spending money out of my own pocket on these amazing thinkers. I am so lucky to get to share every day with each and everyone of them! One of the hardest parts of this job is ensuring students have the opportunity to equally reach the learning goals. As my fellow teachers know, nothing happens equally since every student is different. Equity is what I strive for in my classroom. Especially with more than half of my students coming from a low socioeconomic status. This makes it difficult to even ask families for classroom supplies or individual supplies for their student. They could really use your support my fellow Donors Choosers!
