We all know that reading is one of the most important fundamental skills children must master to succeed in school and life. I want to expand my classroom library with enriched literature that will get my students excited to read. Reading is not only a form of entertainment but it enhances your imagination. My students need to have an opportunity to read a variety of diverse books. When children are exposed to different authors and genres, it helps them to develop a broad perspective of the world around them. I hope to continue to help my students grow in their vocabulary, comprehension, and reading fluency by expanding our classroom library! “The more that you read, the more things you will know, The more that you learn the more places you’ll go."
