I am the librarian in a science, technology, engineering and math(STEM)school for 6th-12th graders. The school is public, and students from the whole district and even the region may apply to attend. Students have to show an affinity for math and science, but a complete curriculum is taught. The school is ethnically diverse as well as economically diverse. Funding from the district and state is based on numbers of students, and we are a small school of 300 students, so funds are tight.
