Students will use clay to create. Imaginations and fingers (small motor development) are so important to the development of young children. Oral language and social emotional growth will also be exercised during their "play with clay" time. Paper, in bright colors, invites imagination, also. Children will use those small muscles to develop good cutting skills. While cutting and creating, students pictures can afford a springboard to writing and story telling. My hope is to increase imagination, make strong fingers, increase oral language, and positive interactions in my class of young students.
