My students are a great group of high school students who are choosing to add art classes to their busy schedules. They are in a rural community and may not have the same opportunities that are found in other areas, especially in the arts. I have been working with them in traditional two dimensional mediums but they want to experience the amazing process of working in the round,creating with their hands a sculpture that they can be proud of. My goal is to help these teens with their confidence and engagement by showing them that they can create a successful functional art piece with their hands.
