I will be entering an empty classroom in August. One that I hope will soon be filled with joy, passion, intense discussion, and an intrinsic love for reading. However, right now, it remains empty. As a first year teacher entering a Title I school in North Carolina, I will not have the extensive resources to provide my students with an abundance of leveled books in which they may come to enjoy. It has become a hobby of mine to hunt bargain book bins, dollar stores, and used book shelves for stories that will not only support the many reading levels of my future students, but also captivate their imagination and enhance their understanding of the world around them.
