Our students learn best with hands-on activities and manipulatives they can use at the desk, on the carpeted floor, or wherever they learn best in the classroom. Having multiple options for them to choose from helps with the scaffolding needed to engage the student to continued progress. Students will use these items for math (telling time and learning about money) as well as science activities. Differentiation is the name of the game in our special education classroom. One lesson must be individualized for each and every student. The more materials I have the more differentiation is given! Our students love the extra activities Lakeshore Learning items provide.
