My current classroom chairs are old, broken, uneven, and chipping. The students snag their clothes on the broken pieces of wood, and some chairs have legs that are uneven. This throws the students' balance off, making it harder for them to concentrate during lessons. New uniform chairs will encourage good posture for my special needs students which will then encourage good handwriting skills. Brand new chairs will have even swivel glides that will eliminate unbalanced chair rocking, and give the special needs students good center of gravity. The consistency of all brand new chairs will benefit the special needs students as they travel from table to table for learning stations.
