As a kindergarten teacher, my students' desire and need to move during almost all academic times is overwhelmingly obvious. Keeping their bodies still and minds working is no small task! This is why I began to research alternative seating options such as balls, balance chairs, and wobble stools. These tools would allow my students the opportunity to move while working, a strategy that has proven to raise student engagement and success. Student engagement is my goal and I hope we can move and wobble our way to success this year! These seating options are just the tools to help our class achieve success.
