During mindfulness and yoga lessons students will focus on music to channel their energy. Scarves are for movement as well as working on our breathing. The hand bell is for mindfully being able to pass it to next person without it ringing. There are several books to help the students calm and learn about yoga. Kindergarten has been starting each morning with yoga/mindfulness/music to get students ready for the day's learning. During middle school yoga enrichment a variation of activities will be adapted for the older students. Students have responded positively to yoga at the school across the grades and eagerly participate in all new mindfulness activities.
