Lights! Action! But No Camera!is the story of my elementary school music classroom. The only cameras I have to use are my cell-phone or my personal video camera. I need a digital camera to take pictures of my students doing the variety of activites they do in class. I want to be able to post pictures of them on my website so their parents can see what they do in music, because like most children when asked what they did in school, their answer is, "Nothing". My school has an 87% poverty index, so I can't ask parents for help. The PTO made less than $10 per student last year, so they have no money to offer. I teach K-5th grade General Music, so every child in the school would benefit from this project. Almost every child likes to have their picture made and all children like to know they are doing something worthwhile. A picture is worth a 1000 words so when a child says, "Nothing", the parent can see the truth.
