Art is an essential part of the school curriculum and an important component in the educational program. Besides keeping students engaged, used throughout the curriculum, art has been shown to increase understanding and retention. It also aids in the development of creative problem skills. For example, when math concepts are applied to a creative project or activity, it works as reinforcement. Creative work gives students an additional connection to the material in their minds, helping them to remember and apply new information. Art doesn't just develop a child’s creativity—the skills they learn because of it spill over into their academic achievement. By donating to my project, you will be enhancing my curriculum with exciting art projects. My classroom will be drenched with color and fun.
