As our students live, grow, and move on in and throughout our community, we have been and are discussing ways to be a good community citizen. What our community looks like now? How do we want our community to look like? and What can we do to improve our community for the future and maybe for our future children? Using these STEM Building Kits for vehicles, bridges, houses, roller coasters and creating chain reactions will be an exciting way to practice these important, critical thinking, lifelong skills.
I cannot think of a better way for my first grade students to stretch their imaginations than to challenge them to use their engineering and problem-solving skills to build our Future STEM Community using these activity kits. The magnetic stand-up whiteboard will be a great addition to our science center for planning and drawing strategies as well.
These centers also cover our STEM goals, they can help my students practice working cooperatively in small groups. Cooperative Team-Work makes the Dream-Work Smoothly!
