This project will provide me with a pro document camera and books to host live and recorded read alouds. Just because we cannot physically travel now and over the summer, that doesn’t mean our students cannot travel through their imagination. Upon returning to school, my students will have access to engaging literature that will spark up their love for reading no matter the genre. The wide book selection will fill up our limited classroom library and give every student an opportunity to dive into a good read based on their choice. Additionally, they will be able to record themselves using the pro document camera to create book reviews and book summaries for students to learn from different genres and become voluminous readers. Using the books ordered, I can use the document camera to create more discussion, interaction, and maintain students' attention during class or remote learning. The goal is to be able to place great books into students’ hands, have them get lost in their imagination, foster reading and motivate each other to read!
