The materials that I'm requesting for my students will help to enhance their view of life long fitness, boost brain stimulation, encourage team cohesion and create awareness of their bodies capabilities regarding sport, agility, and endurance. It is my belief that introducing children to a variety of materials and activities helps them to effectively explore different ways to stay active! Some of the items that I've requested for my students are Core Body Discs, Cosmo Scooter Boards, Tennis Rackets and Quick Stack Cups. Below are the items we are requesting and a few reasons I've requested these items as well as how I plan to utilize them! (Core Body Disc) I've requested Core Body Disc's for the children because it helps to promote their core stability, strengthen their muscles and improves balance and body posture. Core Body Discs will be utilized during our circuit activities! (Cosmo Scooter Boards) I've requested Scooter Boards because they allow the children to move their bodies in various ways, propel the scooter while controlling the speed and direction of the board, isolate different muscle groups and increase their body strength. Activities utilizing the Board include 4x 100M, Scooter Chute, Scooter Basketball and Scooter Team Handball where the children develop throwing and catching skills as well as teamwork and sportsmanship! (Tennis Rackets) I've requested Tennis Rackets with the hopes of exposing our children to a range of sports! Tennis teaches our children to be alert, sportsmanship, responsibility, tactical thinking and problem solving skills. The constant movement in Tennis also allows the children to increase bone strength, improve flexibility, fine tune coordination and enhance overall health and fitness. (Quick Stack Cups) I've requested Stacking cups to help develop motor skills, focus and hand eye coordination. Stacking cups also help with agility, patterning, sequencing and ambidexterity! Together we can make these beliefs a reality!
