My classroom is a lively place where learning is palpable as you walk into theclassroom. My sister describes it as learning place in which children have fun and are in the rollercoaster of learning. She calls it Disneylearning. My students are a mixture of learning skills and development. Their learning needs vary. They come from single parenting homes, low socioeconomic status, second language learners, grandparent homes and a household where both parents work and the children have to go to after care programs. For many of my students, school is where they find routine, expectations and rules. I want to make them feel safe and happy at school. As a teacher, I have high expectations for my students. I want to provide them with the tools they need to achieve our high kindergarten standards. I can only do this with the help and support of parents and our society. Our principle always says, "happy reading!"
