My project will help support and develop social interactions, turn taking and sharing with others using the magnetic materials on a light table. The light table will help those with visual impairments be able to participate more with the materials that are presented so they are part of the group! These materials are going to inspire imagination through open ended play while being able to focus on a variety of concepts using the magnetic shapes. Since the materials are so motivating it will support those concepts in the area of science, math and engineering concepts while reduced frustration because of the magnetic component. The children have motor delays and these materials will allow them to be more independent while building, learning new materials and exploring!!
