The students who would benefit from your gift are ravenous readers! They are gifted in language and can't wait to get their hands on a new book. The two books I've chosen are both great works of literature but they are also great motivators for students who are often thought of as "different" or "nerds". I want them to see that their gifts are important and valuable. I want them to see that they are young people who have something to share with the world! These books will further these students love for reading and great works of literature. I also love that there are current movies attached to these books so that they can compare and contrast the different mediums. There will be great discussions and delving into characters and settings. We will dig into the genres and talk about themes and motifs. My students would never forget these great books, because they love the written word!
