It's summer and all I can think about are my students' needs. I teach in a suburban elementary school where the students come to school eager to learn. Sometimes so eager that sitting still at a desk all day to complete work is difficult. I am hopeful that by funding this project, my students will be able to have their sensory needs met which will enable them to stay focused on our daily agenda. I can just imagine the excitement they will have when they come to Meet the Teacher a few days before school starts and see the choices in seating they will have for the upcoming school year.
