My Students: We began our day with a famous quotation, "Good, Better, Best. I will not rest, until my good is my better and my better is my BEST!" Our public school is populated with 97% African-American students with the majority of our students receiving free or reduced price lunch. Because of their special needs, each of my students have an Individual Educational Program (IEP). This means that I have to teach them at the instructional level of their latest placement test. Although my students range in ages of five - nine years of age, no one has an instructional level higher than first semester, first grade. Three of my third graders are at preschool level instruction. The great news is that each of them has an overwhelming love for learning.
