I am a K-5th grade Technology teacher in a medium sized elementary school in a suburban school district. My students come from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Our ESOL population is on the rise. In fact, we had 4 non-English speaking students join our school family last year alone. My classroom is housed in one of our computer labs. I have room for 30 students so that each student would have their own desktop computer. In my classroom, we practice PRIDE: Preparation, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence. We strive to enrich our computer science learning with STEAM projects and student-based learning.
