My students need a print-rich environment to become bi-literate, bilingual and bi-cultural. Our classroom must be labeled with words and pictures in both English and Spanish to achieve this. Not only will I label the classroom with this multi-function color printer, but also save time on a daily basis when I have to print conceptual refinement activities after every lesson. The lesson cycle we follow consists of a conceptual refinement activity after each lesson. Having the printer in the classroom will help me save resources by not printing excess copies that end up in the recycle bin. My students will benefit from this resource because the classroom will be fully labeled and they can constantly refer to the pictures and words around them to help enrich their vocabulary in both languages.
