Student participation and engagement is a high priority within my classroom. We spend a lot of time sharing our thoughts and ideas with one another. In an effort to engage all of my students and manage classroom discussions, I would like to incorporate the use of the Qball. The Qball is a soft throw-able microphone ball that can be tossed from student to student during a discussion, review game or even a presentation. Many of my students do not like to participate when called upon during the lesson. This interactive tool would allow those shy students to be fully engaged as well as amplify the voice of every student making it perfect for all classroom settings and situations. In addition, it provides a way for everyone to be heard, honor the voices of every child and keep students paying attention since you never know who will be the next one to catch the Qball! The Qball is a fun and dynamic way of interacting and engaging with my students that allows everyone to be heard in a fun and unique way. Not only will it increase student discussion by building a class community but it will get my students up and out of their seats and moving throughout the school day. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement and overall participation.
