New tables, stools, floor seats, and Big Joe chairs will provide our classroom family with more possibilities for flexible seating. I introduced flexible seating to my first grade friends for the first time this year with old tables found in a storage room, small rugs, scoop rockers, lap trays, and lots of chairs! The desks have all left my room, but my students still need more options. I have watched my students flourish and grow as they are able to move around our classroom and choose what seat will help them to perform their personal best. I want to provide more seating options than I have students, as to ensure multiple choices and areas in our classroom. Having a variety of seating options to choose from will help my differentiated learners. I want my students to feel comfortable in their classroom so that they can be confident and do their personal best!
