We all love to get comfortable with a good book, unfortunately, in our class right now all we can do is sit in our everyday student chairs and desks. Flexible seating in our reading area allows students to get comfortable and become more engaged in their reading. During independent reading centers, they can choose where they would like to sit or lay to read. Making sure the students are comfortable is essential to motivating them to want to read and helps to build their reading stamina. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and​ increase students willingness to read, but you will help to create life-long lovers of reading while giving them a place to escape through the world of books. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The folding chairs offer the students a private and personal space to cuddle up and read, while the bean bag chairs will allow for additional comfortable floor seating. The rug is a great way to section off and solidify the reading area and keep it a sacred and quiet place in the classroom. And lastly, the bins will help to store the student’s books and materials needed.
