My school is a high poverty, low income school, but the students here have a desire to learn. The faculty is top notch, and constantly working to better the education of our students. As librarian, I often encounter reluctant readers who are looking for JUST THE RIGHT BOOK... and I strive to provide those materials for them, in a format that will engage them and encourage them to read. My students have a huge interest in non-fiction materials, and I am so proud of them for wanting to expand their knowledge base. My greatest moments are when students come to me and tell me something that they learned in their library book!
