My students are all at-risk readers who read on a level that is at least four to five grade levels below their current grade. They struggle with comprehension and fluency while reading, and this often discourages them from reading totally. I have small classes so that we can focus on their strengths and weaknesses, which is a great blessing. Even with the small groups, however, they still struggle with reading and have never found that book that they have fallen in love with... at least not yet!
