My students are between the ages of three and five. We are a public school in a low income district where many of them have parents who work multiple jobs. The school is an early childhood school consisting of only preschool aged children. We have a nice size room where the kids are comfortable to explore within their own personal space. Many of the children are unable to get extra support at home with the necessary skills to help them further succeed in kindergarten so their time in preschool is essential for their fundamental stepping stone into their education. The children are eager to learn and are like sponges.
