I am a special education teacher, in a self contained classroom, currently of nine students with a range of disabilities. After reflecting over my year, I realized I need to redesign my classroom in an effort to make learning less stressful & fun for my students with autism & ADHD. Sitting in a regular desk all day completing work is very challenging for my students. I would like to transform my classroom in an effort to make their learning spaces more student centered. I would like for them to have options with seating that's best for them to complete their work. In an effort to cut down on redirecting my students about being out of their seats, fidgeting, or rocking back & forth in their chairs, I would like for them to have an alternative seating option to cut down on distractions & possible accidents.
