Each of my students is unique, with specific skills and ways of learning. All of my students have autism and/or intellectual disabilities and do not learn well mainly with pencil and paper. iPads will help them communicate and be engaged and excited to learn! My classroom consists of 8 students (ranging from 4th grade to 10th grade), two teacher assistants and myself. My students bring happiness and a sense of fulfillment to life as they express their personalities in their own unique ways. Many of them cannot communicate well verbally but are learning to use visual communication books and augmentative devices such as a Go Talk to express their wants and needs.
