My students are wonderful, fun-loving, inner-city middle schoolers. Our school is one of the few remaining community schools in the city, and we want to show that we can be successful despite our circumstances. We try to show our kids that reading is fun and the best way to improve in all areas of your academic life. We also want our students to understand that reading can be a way to learn about life; a way to learn how people (real or fictional) deal with similar challenges.

About my class
