I co-teach a 5th grade ICT (integrated co-teaching) class in a Title 1 school in NYC. While some of our students have supportive tightly-knit families, many students come from broken, low-income homes or don't even have homes at all. Half of our students have special needs, and some of them are social-emotional. They have a wide range of abilities, from low-level readers to those reading above grade level. We , as teachers, try to meet all their individual needs.
