Flexible approaches to learning allow students the opportunity to work on 21st century skills that are vital to their success in the real world. These Breakout EDU kits will support the development of these necessary skills such as: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and creativity. As a result of the work done using theses kits, students will also foster a sense of community and respect for one another, while discovering leadership qualities that they may not have known they had. My students are noticeably more engaged in their collaborative work with one another, when they are challenged in their learning. The product that I have selected will unlock student engagement and provide over 1,500 common core aligned games that will equip students with those 21st century skills, and empower them with confidence when applying their social and academic learning to new situations. I have seen the impact that hands-on learning has on the retention of information. As Confucius stated, "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." This kit is all about the doing!
