My students will use the books I have requested as take home books to practice at home with their parents. They will choose a book at their level and exchange it each week for a new one. I am looking forward to watching them grow as readers this year. These books will help foster a love of reading in my kindergarten students as they become confident in their reading skills and will be ready for first grade next year. It will also allow their parents to see them become readers as they practice with them at home. Parents sometimes don't know where to start as far as book choices for their children. This will take the guessing out of it.
