These bins will help students organize their independent reading books and assignments so they can keep track of the books they love to read! Students love to "book shop" in our classroom library for new books to read each week. Sometimes they lose track of a favorite book they're reading because they don't have room to store more than one in their desk at a time. These book bins would allow students to choose multiple books to read throughout the week. They would also allow students to organize their reading notebooks so they are ready to go when it is time for their guided reading group to meet. My students also love to share the great books they are reading with their peers! This is helpful for students who don't love to read because they haven't found the right books yet. When students can share the books they're reading, others feel that same spark of joy that a great book can bring and are more motivated to read! With these new book bins, students will be able to organize their favorite books and take steps toward mastering their reading goals! Additionally, the magnetic math manipulatives included in this project will help students gain hands-on experience with abstract concepts. Many students thrive on visual representations of mathematical concepts and are able to grasp the content more easily when they can readily manipulate the materials. These manipulatives will help students transfer their learning into a solid foundation and master different elements of the math curriculum.
