I am a first-year teacher, and I never expected to teach for the last few months of school from home. We don't have any textbooks so we have to print out everything that we want our students to do. It's been difficult, but we've been making it work. With the switch to online learning, I can't mail out packets of work every single day, and it isn't realistic for me to expect all of my students' families to have daily access to a printer. Most of my students (and I) are visual learners but how can I ask them to visualize and learn without actually showing the material to them? The Wacom digitizer and pen will be used as a tool to easily transfer writing to PDFs on the computer. I will screen record myself talking and writing on my computer and upload it for students who missed the live lesson so that they still have the ability to participate in our class activities and lessons.
