My students are amazing! They make me smile on a daily basis. Each student I work with brings something new for me to help them with. My "kiddos" are students who have difficulty in the general education setting because they have difficulty controlling their behavior and emotions. They are in need of special accommodations to address hyperactivity, obsessive and compulsive behaviors, poor coping skills, social deficits, and inattention. The students at our school come from an array of cultural backgrounds and socio-economic statuses, however, the primary population I serve is low-income and in need of financial, academic, medical, and mental health assistance.
