Welcome- I am primarily an artist. From this vantage I engage in the world. I can recognize other artists and creative acts no matter how subtle. Education is changing in light of technology and entertainment. I am interested in doing a lot with a little (in the same way texting abbreviates longer meanings). As an arts instructor my action involves performing instruction in such a way as to orchestrate the building of gray matter between plotted educational points, such as reading, science, and math. I believe to be an arts educator means to utilize the potent responsibility of culture building potential to the ends of bettering the individual's life by way of 'added value'. I believe that when a student develops an appreciation of the arts that students behavior changes as does those around them. Decision making is just not the same when one has the power to make aesthetic choices.
