I am requesting an Apple iPad so that my students will have the opportunity to experience our eBook collection while in the library. Due to our policy prohibiting cell phone usage during school hours, an iPad in the library may be the spark needed to generate interest in our e-content. The library is one of the most popular locations in the school and an iPad will ensure that every resource is being fully taken advantage of! This popularity coupled with our plentiful library programs, will make an iPad a welcome addition to our community. Students hold the library in high regard and being able to demonstrate the eBooks, as opposed to merely talking about them, will be much more meaningful in terms of not only circulation numbers but increased leisure reading, which is much more important.
